48 pages
published by Clarion Books (May 21, 2007)
About the Book
Technically, It’s Not My Fault (also by John Grandits, published in 2004) was written from the perspective of a boy named Robert. Blue Lipstick is written from the perspective of that boy's sister, Jessie.
Both books are examples of Concrete Poetry a form of poetry where the words are laid out in shapes, which help tell the story.
The book is visually interesting and a short read.
Reviews
Voted one of School Library Journal's Best Books of 2007 "This irreverent, witty collection should resonate with a wide audience."
